Have you ever said, « I hope it gets better » when you are asked how are you doing? It’s a song we hear regularly, isn’t it?
Sometimes we have the impression that things will change by serendipity, or that someone is going to do it for us. When, for things to change for me, I have to change myself.
Life is and always will be a succession of happy and unhappy events as hardship follows opportunity and vice versa. It is the law of nature which wants to be immutable.
But we can always seek to grow and learn how we can better interact with these events.
Thinking that things will change for me under the influence of a magic wand is like believing that everything will be better for me when someone offers me a million dollars. It’s very easy, isn’t it?
Not only that there is very little chance that I will receive such a gift (the probability is close to zero) but in addition, I still have to learn to keep such an amount of money without being able to lose it, to be able to tell myself that I am a millionaire.
To fully understand what I have just said above, I am going to give you a more concrete example. Suppose all the billionaires in the world decide to put their money together to distribute it fairly to everyone. A decision that most of us would like to see.
Do you know what will happen a few years later? The money will again concentrate in the hands of these very same billionaires when most people will have lost their due.
There is nothing surprising in this. Money is an energy that can only go into the hands of those who are prepared to receive and hold it. It’s that easy.
For something to change in my life, I have to change. Instead of hoping that things will get better, wouldn’t it be better to work on yourself to attract the change you want to yourself.
As John Rohn states success is not just something you pursue but rather something you attract. This is also the case for money. Instead of constantly chasing money, work on yourself, learn to earn it and keep it. The money isn’t the problem, it’s you! (Gary Douglas).
So, stop waiting all days for things to get better for you. Work hard on yourself and what you are looking for will come to you.
